More Than a Retreat—A Return to Yourself

Savor is where your journey inward begins by stepping out into the world.

Memorable Places

We choose retreat locations that stir the soul—villas by the sea, rainforest hideaways, and places that hold space for beauty and growth.

Soulful Community

You’ll be surrounded by kind, curious people looking to connect deeply—with themselves, with others, and with the world.

Nourishing Experiences

From creative yoga to cultural immersion and moments of stillness, every part of the retreat is designed to support your wellbeing.

Inner Wisdom

We offer more than movement—each retreat is a chance to pause, reflect, and listen inward with compassion.

Let’s Savor.

Savor Yoga Retreats is where our truth, our practice, and our path come together.

Founded by Jen Mast—ocean and mountain lover, chai latte enthusiast, and eternal adventure-seeker—Savor Yoga Retreats is a celebration of connection, culture, and curiosity. Our retreats are more than yoga getaways; they’re soul-expanding adventures where movement, laughter, and stillness all have a place. We travel to awe-inspiring landscapes—jungles, mountains, beaches, and pastures—not just to escape, but to see ourselves more clearly.

At Savor, yoga meets you wherever you are—physically, emotionally, spiritually. Our practice is fluid, like life. It holds space for both reflection and joy, solitude and celebration. Together, we explore our inner truth, honor our unique path, and never forget to dance along the way.
Come as you are—let’s move, let’s grow, let’s Savor!

Jen brings over 15 years of experience guiding students in yoga and mindful movement. Her teaching creates space for all bodies and backgrounds to feel supported, seen, and empowered. Through curiosity, breath, and stillness, Jen gently challenges long-held beliefs and invites students to lovingly lean into life’s edges. Each Savor retreat is rooted in a thoughtful theme, encouraging deep self-reflection, meaningful conversation, personal growth, and a return to self-love and acceptance.

Our Team

Who We Are

Jen Mast

A former school counselor and licensed social worker, Jen discovered yoga in 2014 as a natural extension of her passion for healing and human connection. Burned out from the demands of public education and craving deeper alignment in her own life, she stepped off the traditional path and onto her mat—and everything began to shift. Her health improved, her sense of purpose deepened, and she rediscovered what mattered most: presence, family, and community.

What began as a personal practice soon blossomed into a calling. With over 10 years of experience in guiding students through yoga and mindful movement, Jen integrates her therapeutic background into every class, retreat, and interaction. Her teaching is rooted in compassion and inclusivity, creating a space where every body and every story is honored.

Through breath, stillness, and gentle inquiry, Jen helps students move beyond limiting beliefs and toward a life of greater authenticity and self-acceptance. She brings a unique gift for weaving together grounded movement, soulful reflection, and the artful balance of real life.

Savor Yoga Retreats is her heart-led offering to the world—blending her love of travel, culture, and connection into immersive experiences that nourish the body, inspire the soul, and foster lasting community. Jen considers it a daily gift to do what she loves—and to share it with others.

Julie McKay

Julie is a magnetic and joyful presence—an open-hearted teacher who brings humor, depth, and a touch of dance-floor magic to every class. A true extrovert in the best way, she radiates energy that draws students in, and they keep coming back for more. You’ll likely laugh, maybe dance a little, and definitely leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Rooted in over 12 years of studio teaching across a range of styles, Julie specializes in yoga for bone health and offers a practice that’s accessible, inclusive, and deeply nourishing. Born and raised in Maine, she embodies “salt of the earth” authenticity—grounded, kind, and refreshingly real.

Today, Julie shares her gifts full-time at McLean Hospital, where she leads therapeutic yoga for individuals navigating mental health journeys. Retreats with Savor allow her to blend her love of community, movement, and culture in unforgettable ways.

Julie’s background in dance shines through in every sequence—expect playful, expressive flows infused with creativity, freedom, and a deep sense of joy. She moves with intention and invites you to do the same, reconnecting you to your breath, your body, and your own unique rhythm.

Liz Krauss

Business Manager

Liz Krauss found her way to the mat nearly a decade ago, seeking change, empowerment, and community. She walked into one of Jen’s yoga classes—and never looked back. Her steady practice and love for movement led her to take a leap in 2023, joining one of the very first Savor Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica. That experience lit a spark, and Liz has been a beloved part of the retreat community ever since.

Behind the scenes, Liz is the quiet force that keeps Savor Yoga Retreats running smoothly. From managing finances and organizing spreadsheets to solving logistical puzzles, she handles the complex details that allow Jen and Julie to focus on crafting meaningful, transformative experiences for their guests. She brings clarity, calm, and a can-do spirit to every challenge—and there’s truly no business hiccup Liz can’t figure out.

When she’s not keeping the Savor machine humming, Liz also manages finances for elderly clients and enjoys life as a devoted wife and mom to two wonderful kids (her daughter Lulu even joined us in Spain!)—plus three feisty kitties who keep her on her toes. Thoughtful, grounded, and endlessly capable, Liz is the behind-the-scenes hero every heart-centered business dreams of.

Lelia Leary

Guest Retreat Leader

Lelia embarked on a yoga and meditation journey to find some peace as a busy mom of small kids. Her most valuable lesson was cultivating the yogic breath to become more responsive and less reactive. Her enthusiasm for the power of yoga as a healing modality was evident immediately. She began to study deeply. Over the past decade she has been teaching movement practice for flexibility and strength as well as practice of breath awareness and has found this enormously rewarding.

She is a an exercise enthusiast, currently loving, running, lifting and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She is also a science and nature enthusiast leading traveling science workshops for K-5 students though the Discovery Museum.

The daughter of a nature writer with a wandering spirit, she grew up traveling on assignment with her dad to far away places and learning new languages. This wanderlust was certainly inherited and she continues to love meeting new people and looking for adventures in new places. Some influential travel experiences include a tropical ecology program in Australia to study fruit bats, a plant science semester in Costa Rica, graduate school for science in Bozeman, Montana and touring through Europe, Scandinavia and the UK hosted by friends and family who live abroad.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need yoga experience to attend Savor Retreat?

Not at all! While we love when students have stepped on a mat before, you don’t need an advanced practice to join us. Our retreats are designed to meet you exactly where you are—whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. All levels, all bodies, and all backgrounds are warmly welcomed. The only requirement is an open heart and a willingness to learn, move, and grow.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo. We intentionally create a welcoming, connected environment—while also leaving space for solitude and reflection.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Savor Retreats requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking and the remaining 50% balance two months prior to the retreat start date.
