Our Story

It all started with a quick conversation in the yoga studio lobby. Jen turned to Julie and said, “Want to come to Costa Rica with me?” And just like that, a partnership was born—one rooted in movement, laughter, and a shared passion for yoga, adventure, and human connection.

From the moment we led our first retreat together, we knew we had stumbled into something magical. Our strengths complement each other like peanut butter and jelly (or maybe guacamole and plantain chips). We bring different paths, practices, and personalities to the mat—but we share a deep desire to explore the world, celebrate culture, and create meaningful experiences for our community.

Together, we’ve built Savor Yoga Retreats—a space for others to rest, reset, and reconnect. What began as a spontaneous idea has become a soul-led mission to guide students across the globe, one retreat (and one belly laugh) at a time.

Reflections from the Retreat

I’ve had the joy of attending two Savor Yoga Retreats—one in Costa Rica and one in Spain—and both experiences were nothing short of extraordinary. Jen and Julie put so much thought and intention into every detail, from the planning and logistics to the warm, welcoming atmosphere they create.

I’ve travelled all around the world to over 35 countries, and going to Spain with Jen and Julie was the best travel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we connected online, I felt that I was in amazing hands  – no detail was left unaddressed pre-trip.

Decisions were made about day trips and massages well in advance and all was carefully and thoughtfully explained over pre-departure zooms and What’s App. I was a little nervous committing to this experience only knowing Julie, but from the moment I met others at the airport, I felt welcome and included. So then comes the amazing villa! What a place with the most incredible views, beautiful historic detailing on the property and did I mention the gourmet meals on the terrace?

From there, it was mindful yoga, exploration of Barcelona and other cool destinations around Sitges – we all picked what we wanted to explore – food tour, wine tour, unbelievable monastery/museum tour, you name it! If all that was too much, we could simply chill by our gorgeous pool, take a stroll, lounge on the outdoor couches, or go to the beach in Sitges. This community is beyond amazing.

To be a tourist in a sophisticated, yet relaxed setting, practice yoga outside overlooking the vineyards, and connect with like minded individuals who are seeking more than just a stamp in their passport – it was truly an incredible experience. And Jen and Julie are like yin and yang, naturally complementing each other and providing each traveller with the feeling of being seen, valued and fully part of the group. I can’t wait for my next experience with Savor Yoga Retreats!
